Everyone needs to learn programming- the language of the future: Palak
In order to make the 'golden people' aspired by Bangabandhu, the government was organizing a national programming contest at the higher secondary level said Zunaid Ahmed Palak, the State Minister for ICT. Calling for preparing the children for the future, one should know to code, the language of computer as efficiently as mother tongue. That is why he himself has learned some programming, said the state minister. He first coded on the HTML platform and wrote 'Digital Bangladesh'.
Calling on the new generation to learn to program compulsorily, he said that without analytical and innovative talent, one cannot do better in the future world. The child of today's truck driver who learns programming will drive a driverless car by coding after studying in an engineering university.
In his speech, the programmers of the ICT department also explained how they have saved hundreds of crores of Taka by coding Suraksha.gov and Covid vaccine passport will also be launched through them soon, he added.
Eminent educationist Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal and NM Zeaul Alam, Senior Secretary, Department of Information and Communication Technology spoke at the inaugural function of the National High School Programming Contest 2021 which was conducted by Munir Hasan, General Secretary, BDOSN.
Professor Muhammad Zafar Iqbal commented in his speech that the name of Palak will be written in the history of computer programming contests at the high school level in Bangladesh. He thinks that the future of the future children will be bright only if they learn to solve problems through analytical mentality through programming education without emphasizing to grade points alone.
